Professor Green came to talk to Steven

20/05/2026

What stood out to me while listening to Professor Green wasn’t just the story itself, but the strength behind it. His childhood wasn’t just difficult. It was unstable, heavy, and filled with things most people never have to face that early in life.

And yet, the way he speaks about it now doesn’t come from a place of bitterness, but from understanding.
That’s what made it powerful to me. There’s a moment where he reflects on loss, especially around his father, and you can feel how complex that kind of grief is. Not just sadness, but guilt, unanswered questions, and the weight of things left unsaid. It’s the kind of pain that doesn’t just disappear, but slowly changes shape over time.

What I found inspiring is that he didn’t let those moments define him in a limiting way. Through everything he went through, from near death experiences to serious health issues, he kept evolving. Not perfectly, not easily, but consistently. And instead of chasing success in the traditional sense, he shifted toward understanding himself better.

That shift stood out to me the most.
Because it’s easy to look at someone’s achievements, but much harder to recognize the internal work it takes to get there. To me, this wasn’t just a story about struggle. It was about resilience, self awareness, and choosing to grow, even when life gives you every reason not to. I genuinely see him as an inspiration for that.
