What stood out to me in this conversation with Vivian Tu wasn't just the strategies about money. It was the way she reframed how we think about it.

A big part of the problem isn't a lack of income, but the way we're wired to see money. We live in a world where perception often matters more than reality. Social media makes it easy to compare your life to extremes, and before you realize it, you're spending to keep up with something that was never real to begin with.

What I found interesting is how she removes the idea that discipline alone will fix this.
Instead of relying on willpower. She talks about building systems, small structures that guide your decisions automatically. Almost like setting your future self up to win on the days you don't feel like trying.

That idea comes back in everything she says:
not just earning more, but directing money with intention.

Whether it's budgeting, investing, or even relationships, it's less about strict rules and more about awareness. Knowing what comes in, what goes out, and what you're building toward. Not in a restrictive way, but in a way that creates freedom over time.

Another thing that stayed with me is her perspective on ownership.
A lot of things we call "passive income" are still very active. Real leverage comes from owning things that grow or pay you without needing your constant attention.

And maybe that's the underlying theme of the whole conversation:
moving from reacting… to designing. Not just your finances, but your life around it.
